A Moving Memorial Day Premiere – Video Link

On May 29 and 30, 2021, Barrington Public Library and Bay Spring Community Center hosted premiere screenings of The Meaning of Memorial Day: Stories of Sacrifice, a video story collection created by Susan Catherine Collyer of Reflections in Rhode Island in conjunction with Dog Tags Navigators. We heldd three separate showings of the 30-minute video in our upstairs performance space and welcomed dozens of people who came to view it. We also enjoyed live music presented by Guitars for Vets Providence Chapter!

How to view the video online: For those who were not able to join us in person for the premiere, you can still see it! The video is available for viewing on our Vimeo channel here

Susan’s video is part of Trinity Rep’s online series America Too: Reckoning and Resilience, which combines theater, music, and art with stories in order to catalyze community dialogue. A portion of the video was included in Trinity’s Memorial Day Reflection Walk, which started at Trinity Rep and ended at the Beirut Memorial in downtown Providence.
