The Friends of the Bay Spring Community Center is committed to serving the needs of the community through artistic, cultural, musical, and educational programs. We are always looking for ideas about new programs and events, great musicians, enthralling storytellers, wonderful artists, and issues that affect our community, along with ways that we can make the Bay Spring Community Center an even more vibrant and valuable resource for everyone.
We encourage you to reach out to the FBSCC with your ideas, your feedback, and your enthusiasm. Here are a few ways to get in touch but as always, the best way is to show up, talk with us, and become a part of the energetic and entertaining community that means so much to us all.

I am a former resident of Warren, RI and I currently play in a band called Acousticana. Dave Carrnes who is affliated with the Stone Church Coffeehouse suggested that I get in touch with you. Acousticana is an accoustic band that plays a variety of different types of music including bluegrass, Tex Mex, folk, cajun, etc. The website above will give you a much better idea of what we do! On the website you will also find sound clips and video of Acousticana. Locally Acousticana has played at the Narrows Center For the Arts and Sandywoods in Tiverton to name a few venues. We would be interested in performing at your venue and being considered for the Fiddler and Folk Festival!
Sincerely,
Ellen Breen
Acousticana
Hi Ellen! Thanks for the interest. We’ve passed your message along to member of the Local Brew team, which produces the Fiddle and Folk Festival, and they’ll be getting in touch with you very soon. It’s always great to hear from local musicians, performers, and artists.
If Acousticana is ever interested in performing at the Bay Spring Community Center, not just at Fiddle and Folk, we’re always accepting performance proposals. If you visit https://www.bsccri.org/get-involved/propose-an-event-or-activity/ , you can submit a proposal and our programming committee will be happy to consider it.
Hi, Chris
Is tomorrow a Rain or Shine event? (9.13.2014)
Thanks!
Doug Arnold
Hi Doug. The rain date for the Fiddle n Folk Festival is Sunday, September 14th. Any updates re: a possible postponement will appear on the Festival’s Facebook page first: https://www.facebook.com/FiddleNFolkFest and will be a decision made by the Local Brew Events team.

Thank you!
You had a Pow Wow event last year in August and I was unable to attend because I was working. Will you have one this year?
Hi Carol. We produced the Pow-Wow event as part of the 300th anniversary celebration for the Town of Barrington. At this time, we don’t have a repeat event scheduled though it’s great to know there’s interest should we work with the fantastic Eastern Medicine Singers again.
