The 2022 Season of Free Live Music Continues Thursday, August 18
Backyard Sessions at Bay Spring Community Center
170 Narragansett Avenue, Barrington

The free Backyard Sessions Music Concert at the Bay Spring Community Center
(originally scheduled in July – but cancelled due to a sudden storm) is now rescheduled
for Thursday, August 18th , 2022, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The featured band will be The Rhode Island Guitars For Vets Traveling All-Star
Band or G4V for short. G4V, with a local chapter founded by Dave Cousins, is a non-
profit national organization founded to provide Veterans struggling with physical injuries,
PTSD and other emotional distress a unique supportive environment. Its mission is to
share the healing power of music by providing free guitar instructions, a new acoustic
guitar and accessory kit in a structured program run by volunteers, primarily through the
Department of Veterans Affairs facilities. The band consists of Dave, some of his

Opening the evening of music, once again, will be the Backyard Session’s host band
Sometimes Celtic. Sometimes Celtic plays a variety of instruments including guitars,
mandolin, whistles and percussion – blending original music with Celtic and American
Folk Rock.

Plan to bring a picnic dinner and the whole family. The Backyard Stage is located
behind the Community Center at 170 Narragansett Avenue, Barrington, RI.

Bring chairs or sit at one of the picnic tables or under an umbrella at one of the high-top

G4V will be graciously accepted.
