It’s the Nashville to New England Tour 2019 with Americana duo Juliet Simmons Dinallo and Michael Dinallo, with author/singer-songwriter Rod Picott. Join us at the Bay Spring Community Center for Juliet’s signature southern blues by-way-of-Boston sound and a fantastic night of music!
Born in North Carolina, Juliet Simmons Dinallo grew up in Maine and came of age as a musician in Boston. She studied music at the Berklee College of Music, where she landed a spot on the world-renowned Berklee Gospel Choir. She has recently made Nashville her new point of musical exploration.
Juliet and Michael Dinallo follow in the rich tradition of Nashville husband/wife musical duos – Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Susanna and Guy Clark among others. They are currently touring together supporting Juliet’s single “You Got Nothing on Me” along with their other combined musical forays in American roots music.
Traveling with them is writer/musician Rod Picott, whose new book Out Past the Wires was just released by Working Title Farms. Ron’s new album Tell the Truth & Shame the Devil was released in July.
Of Juliet Dinallo’s “You Got Nothing on Me,” featuring The McCrary Sisters and produced by Michael Dinallo on Memphis International Records:
“This beautiful ballad is not a ‘wanna be.’ It’s the real deal with the right amount of everything – opening with Michael Dinallo’s tasteful, soulful guitar to Juliet’s beautiful voice and meaningful lyrics we can all relate to. Complimented with subtle organ and beautiful background vocals, it hits home. Write your name in the sky, Juliet!” –-Holly Harris, Spinning the Blues, WUMB Boston & W.C.
