Horsley Witten, the consultant hired to to conduct a study of the zoning in the Bay Spring Neighborhood, has completed Phase 1 of this effort, which focused on zoning recommendations for properties on Bay Spring Ave between the East Bay Bike Path and Washington Rd.
The public hearing on Phase 1 zoning ordinance amendments and zoning map amendment – changing the Bay Spring Avenue Neighborhood Business zone to a new zone called Residence Business Flex (RBF) – is to be held by the Town Council on Monday, Sept. 11 from 7pm – 9pm in the Council Chamber at Town Hall. All community members are encouraged to attend to share their feedback on the proposed zoning amendments.
Phase 2 will focus on Bay Spring Avenue from the Bike Path west to Narragansett Ave. Horsley Witten has yet to release the schedule of public meetings and events – we will keep you posted as we get new information.
