About this event

The Meaning of Memorial Day: Stories of Sacrifice is a video story collection created by Susan Catherine Collyer in collaboration with Trinity Rep’s Blue Star Theater, which provides spaces for Rhode Island veterans to be heard and to share their stories.

Susan’s video is part of Trinity Rep’s online series America Too: Reckoning and Resilience, which combines theater, music, and art with stories in order to catalyze community dialogue. A portion of the video will appear during Trinity Rep’s May episode, called America Too: It’s Our Service, debuting on May 27. Part of the viseo will also be included in Trinity Rep’s Memorial Day Reflection Walk, which will start at Trinity Rep and end at the Beirut Memorial in downtown Providence.

Barrington Public Library and Bay Spring Community Center are hosting a premiere of the full-length video, and you are invited to join us! Please see the above schedule of screenings and register at this link to reserve your seat.
